My love for Italian cuisine has no end. For one because of its simplicity, the pureness of the ingredients and the supreme taste. One of my favorite salads is Caprese Salad. I enjoy the taste of fresh, ripe tomatoes, the texture of tangy mozzarella cheese, combined with fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of reduced balsamic and olive oil.
The other day, while I was making myself a BLT (Beef, Lettuce and Tomato) Sandwich and was stacking up the ingredients, I got inspired to make a TMP tower: Tomato-Mozarella-Pesto tower. Either serve it like that or with slices of toasted Italian or French bread on the side. Once you are done building this tower of taste you cannot wait to sink your teeth into it.
INGREDIENTS:
1 steak tomato, chilled
1 oz. fresh mozzarella cheese,
4 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
4 tablespoons pesto sauce

1/2 teaspoon freshly ground plack pepper
