At a loss for words for a while but here are some… Awesome! Flabbergasted! Stoked! In nearly 3 days we made our initial target. We are funded! And Kickstarter labeled this: ‘projects we love!’ Generous support of fans, in a very short time, proofs that the time is now to print a first English language book on our Indo Dutch Heritage Cooking. There are so many delicious dishes that we enjoy and want to share! It’s amazing to have reached the initial funding milestone. However, the objective is to REACH AS MANY PEOPLE as possible, to spread the word and get people on our food wagon in order to preserve our Indo Dutch Heritage Cooking. There are THOUSANDS of people of Dutch and Indo Dutch Heritage . We are Now at 160+ backers. We need your help to pledge (if not done already) and to spread the word! The initial target amount was kept at a BARE MINIMUM. This to increase the chance to reach the finish and at least get that ‘all or nothing’ dollar amount. In the text of the campaign we explained we need at least $10,000 to $15,000+ for the kickstart of a 1st print run. Every dollar beyond that amount will help us with the additional costs, like subcontractors, print more books and pay for marketing when book is released. If raised enough, I might even do a book tour and come to your town. Please, PRE-ORDER the book or UPGRADE your REWARD and benefit from the SPECIAL OFFERS, valid only during this campaign. how can we help? Do you want us to share the recipes we use, that we adapted with spices etc. we can get in our area? Slowly but surely I am finding the spices here in the USA in Chinese supermarkets we could not get before, and that makes me very excited. We can buy spice packets for lots of dishes, I use these when I am in a hurry or surprise guests show up, but I still like to make dishes from scratch also.
