At Irvine’s largest annual event Global Village Festival (23 September 2017) more than 20,000 visitors experienced a multi-cultural day with musical performances, dance, arts & crafts and food samples from all over the world. We were there to launch our special festival treat PISANG GORENG (pronounced: pee-sahng-gor-reng), Indonesian style banana fritters.
It was a festive premiere of our new food concept under the name CRISPY BANANAS – insanely tasty with awesome toppings. The first order was placed a half hour before the official opening and since then it was a regular stream of happy customers. Some returned for a second time to try another option of the glorified Pisang Goreng. Overall the feedback was great and the product proved to be a hit. Some fans and friends came from far away and picked up my cookbook Indo Dutch Kitchen Secrets.
This festival, by far, is one of the most professional and accommodating events we have ever been to. The organization team of Global Village Festival in Irvine made our stay feel like a 5-star resort.
